Big Ambitions Logistics: Deliveries, Warehouses & Limits
Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Steam Big Ambitions
Logistics in Big Ambitions is the chain that moves goods from a supplier to a facility and then from that facility to your shops, and it is the system that decides how large your empire can get. Everything before it can be done on foot with a car boot; nothing after it can.
This page describes the shape of that chain as of 1.0, then does something no other Big Ambitions site currently does: it lays out, in full, the three-way contradiction in the circulating delivery capacity figures and explains why we are printing no number at all.
The shape of the system
There are two legs, and they behave completely differently.
Leg one, inbound. A wholesaler or an importer ships to a building you control. Wholesalers can also ship direct to a shop, and you can collect from them in person. Importers cannot: they only ship to a warehouse or factory with free pallet shelf space, and they need a Purchasing Agent under contract. Full detail is on the products page.
Leg two, outbound. A Logistics Manager builds a delivery plan in the BizMan app on your BizPhone and stock moves from your warehouse or factory to your shops, or to another warehouse or factory. This is the leg people mean by "logistics", and it is the one with the disputed numbers.
A delivery point, also called a delivery location or destination, is one address on that outbound plan. One shop is one point; another warehouse is one point. How many points a facility can serve is the ceiling on how many shops one warehouse can feed, which is why the figure matters and why it is so frustrating that it is not established.
The three roles, and where each one sits
| Role | Where they work | What they control | Recruited from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purchasing Agent | Computer workstation in your Headquarters | Inbound orders from one importer location at a time | City Workforce Inc. |
| Logistics Manager | Computer workstation in your Headquarters | The outbound delivery plan for one facility | City Workforce Inc. |
| Delivery Driver | Assigned to a vehicle inside the warehouse or factory | Physically runs the outbound deliveries | Anderson Recruitment Corp. or a Headhunter |
Two of the three sit in your HQ, not in the warehouse, which is the most common structural confusion for new players. Recruitment routing is Early Access era information from the community wiki's Employees page, last edited November 2024; the roles themselves are confirmed by the official 1.0 changelog, which names both the Logistics Manager and the Purchasing Agent delivery lists. More on hiring at staff.
The three conditions for a delivery to run
The community wiki's Logistics Manager page (1.0-era edit) lists all three together; each is independently corroborated on a separate page, which is unusual for this wiki: Delivery Driver confirms the one-driver-per-vehicle rule, and the Warehouse page's own delivery section confirms the receiving shop needs open Storage Shelf space to accept the goods.
- A vehicle is parked in the warehouse or factory.
- A Delivery Driver is assigned to that vehicle. One driver per vehicle, no sharing.
- The receiving shop has at least one Storage Shelf.
A fourth condition follows from how the plan works: the delivery amount you set is a target, not an order size. Set 500 and the shop holds 200, and 300 arrive. Set 500 and the shop already holds 500, and nothing moves. The count includes stock on display shelves, not just in the back. Three separate pages state this, making it the best corroborated behaviour in the system.
Why logistics is the wall
The Steam global achievement rates are first-party data and they show exactly where players stop. These are percentages of all owners, captured 8 September 2026, eleven days after the 1.0 release.
| Achievement | Requirement | Global unlock rate |
|---|---|---|
| Product Pusher, Bronze | Run 1 successful retail business | 75.9% |
| Money Maker, Bronze | Weekly income of $10,000 for one business | 47.4% |
| Carpark, Bronze | Own 2 vehicles | 41.4% |
| Storage King, Bronze | Rent 2 warehouses | 21.7% |
| Hoarder, Bronze | Stockpile 100,000 of any product | 7.3% |
| Freightshakers, Bronze | Hire and schedule 5 delivery drivers | 6.0% |
| Storage King, Silver | Rent 5 warehouses | 4.3% |
| Carpark, Silver | Own 10 vehicles | 4.2% |
| Freightshakers, Silver | Hire and schedule 10 delivery drivers | 2.0% |
| Storage King, Gold | Rent 10 warehouses | 1.4% |
| Freightshakers, Gold | Hire and schedule 20 delivery drivers | 0.7% |
| Hoarder, Gold | Stockpile 10,000,000 of any product | 0.3% |
Three quarters of everyone who owns the game opens a shop. Six per cent ever staff a real fleet. The fall between Storage King Bronze and Silver, from 21.7 to 4.3 per cent, lands precisely where a player stops running one warehouse by hand and has to design a network. Read it as a map of where players stop rather than as a difficulty rating. The full set is on achievements.
The delivery point cap: three sources, three answers
Here is the conflict in full. Every row below comes from the same community wiki, big-ambitions.fandom.com.
| Page | Last edited | What it says about delivery capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery Driver and Logistics Manager | 8 and 7 September 2026, 1.0 era | Freight Truck T1 has a base of 4 delivery points, rising to 8 with a 100% Logistics Manager. Smaller vehicles scale down proportionally |
| Importers | 19 October 2025, Early Access | Every delivery vehicle, from the Vord V150 up to the Freight Truck T1, is "up to 4". No scaling by vehicle at all |
| Warehouse | 5 September 2026, 1.0 era | A single warehouse caps at 16 points, achieved with two Freight Trucks T1 and two 100% Logistics Managers |
We are not printing a capacity number on this page. Not the 4, not the 8, not the 16.
The reasoning matters more than the decision. When three figures disagree, the instinct is to pick the one that looks best supported, usually the newest or the one that appears twice. That instinct is wrong here for two reasons.
First, these are not three sources. They are three pages of one wiki, maintained by a handful of editors. Two pages agreeing is one editor being consistent, not independent corroboration. The same trap catches a rival site that quotes the community wiki's own Hamptons figures and so looks like a second source while being a copy of the first.
Second, the numbers are not merely different, they are structurally incompatible. The 16 figure requires two Logistics Managers assigned to one warehouse. The Logistics Manager page says each manager handles one warehouse or factory; the Importers page says each handles one delivery plan. If either is right, 16 cannot be reached the way the Warehouse page describes it. That same page also says a driver needs 50% skill for a Freight Truck T1, while three other pages say 95%. A page that contradicts itself and its neighbours in one paragraph has not earned the right to supply the headline number.
Three irreconcilable figures do not mean one is probably right. They mean the number is not currently known, and a wiki that prints one anyway is manufacturing confidence it does not have.
What is agreed, and can be written
- Capacity scales with vehicle size and Logistics Manager skill. Every source agrees on the direction even where the magnitudes conflict.
- Capacity also scales with vehicle slots in the building. H1, H2 and H3 warehouses have one slot; I, P and Q sizes have two (community wiki Buildings page, 1.0-era edit, single-sourced).
- Driver skill gates which vehicles can be driven. The table below appears identically on the Delivery Driver and Logistics Manager pages, both edited in September 2026; the Factory page, also a September 2026 edit, independently confirms the 95% Freight Truck T1 threshold without repeating the full table.
| Vehicle | Required Delivery Driver skill |
|---|---|
| Freight Truck T1 | 95% |
| Vord Courier D500 | 75% |
| Mersaidi Dash, UMC Nunavut, Vord V150 | 50% |
| Standard cars, including Honza Mimic and Vord Pony | 0% |
The Freight Truck T1 is the largest delivery vehicle in the game. Vehicle prices and cargo figures are deliberately absent here and on vehicles, because the community table carrying them is visibly contaminated by a Spanish-language copy.
If you can settle the delivery point cap, please send a screenshot. What resolves it is a shot of the BizMan Deliveries tab on a 1.0 save showing a warehouse with a known number of vehicles, a Logistics Manager at a stated skill percentage, and the destination list at its limit. That one image beats every secondary write-up in circulation.
Delivery timing: 02:00 or 08:00
The same split runs through the delivery hour.
| Page | Time given for the warehouse-to-shop leg |
|---|---|
| Delivery Driver, Logistics Manager, Warehouse | 02:00 |
| Importers | 08:00 |
One reading, ours rather than any source's, is that the two hours describe different legs: shipments out of your warehouse at 02:00, supplier shipments into it in the morning. The Warehouse page's event table fits that, listing warehouse-to-shop at 02:00 while wholesaler and importer standard deliveries land Monday at 08:00. But the Importers page says plainly that delivery plans ship once per day at 08:00, and a delivery plan is unambiguously the outbound leg. The reconciliation does not hold, so we record the conflict rather than resolve it.
What is not in dispute: the outbound leg runs once per day, on a fixed schedule you cannot adjust. That is the real planning constraint. If a shop sells out at midday, no truck is coming until the next cycle, so the fix is a larger target amount and enough shelf space to hold it, not more frequent deliveries.
The secondary conflicts
| Question | One page says | Another page says | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| How many importers exist | Importers page names seven: JetCargo, SeaSide, United Ocean, BlueStone, Lunar Tide, Maritime Freight, Aquatic Bay | Warehouse page's availability grid carries an eighth column, Global Harvest | Open. We list the confirmed names and no total |
| Can a factory deliver direct to a shop | Buildings page: only warehouses can deliver goods to shops | Factory page, 7 September 2026, has a full Deliveries section for factory-to-store plans | Open, and both edits are 1.0 era |
| Freight Truck T1 driver skill | Warehouse page: 50% | Delivery Driver, Logistics Manager and Factory pages: 95% | Resolved in favour of 95%, three pages to one |
The first two remain open. We would rather leave a hole than fill it with a coin flip. More cases on myths.
What 1.0 changed for logistics
All of the following comes directly from the official 1.0 changelog and the Build 3672/3674 patch notes.
| Change | Effect on your chain |
|---|---|
| Storage Shelves can now also be used in warehouses and factories | Removes a furniture restriction that previously split shelf types by building |
| Logistics Manager and Purchasing Agent delivery lists can be reordered | You control the order in which destinations are served, which matters when capacity is tight |
| Exporting goods now affects the import index | Overproduce and export too much and you depress that item's import and export price for the rest of the week |
| Truck deliveries can be called and cancelled | A booked delivery is no longer locked in |
| Importers UI shows box size when ordering | Order sizing no longer needs to be inferred |
| Import orders survive a sick Purchasing Agent | A single absence no longer breaks the inbound leg |
| Inventory is distributed more evenly inside a shop | Official example: two empty cash registers and one box of paper bags, and the first register takes only half |
| Vehicle low fuel and damage raise objectives and alerts | Added in Build 3672/3674, 1 September 2026 |
That patch also fixed a bug where employees attempting to quit broke imports, deliveries and training outright. If a launch-week save stopped delivering for no visible reason, that is the known cause, and it is fixed.
What this page will not tell you
No delivery point capacity. No warehouse or vehicle capacity in units. No vehicle prices. No per-item goods prices, because another site has been measuring those since 2023 and a second-hand copy would rot quietly the next time the economy is patched. No profit figures, because no official source has ever published one.
What you get instead is the mechanism, the version each claim belongs to, and an explicit list of what is still unknown. See Early Access versus 1.0 for how far the economy has moved between builds, and businesses for which shop types force you into a warehouse in the first place.
Change log
- 8 September 2026: Page created. Delivery capacity left deliberately unnumbered after documenting the three-way conflict; driver skill thresholds published on three-page agreement; importer count and factory direct delivery recorded as open questions.
Frequently asked questions
How does delivery work in Big Ambitions?
Stock arrives at a warehouse or factory from a wholesaler or importer, and a Logistics Manager then pushes it out to your shops on a delivery plan. Three things must be true for that second leg to run: a vehicle parked in the warehouse, a Delivery Driver assigned to that vehicle, and at least one Storage Shelf in the receiving shop. The first two are stated together on one 1.0-era community wiki page, Logistics Manager, and each is independently corroborated elsewhere: Delivery Driver confirms the one-driver-per-vehicle rule, and Warehouse confirms the shelf-space requirement at the receiving shop. That spread across pages is unusually solid for this wiki.
How many locations can one warehouse deliver to?
Nobody has established this publicly, and we are not going to guess. Three community wiki pages give three different answers: 4 rising to 8 with a fully skilled Logistics Manager, a flat 'up to 4' for every vehicle, and a cap of 16 per warehouse. All three sit on the same wiki, which makes this one source disagreeing with itself rather than a majority verdict. The mechanism is agreed: bigger vehicle plus higher Logistics Manager skill equals more destinations.
What time do deliveries arrive in Big Ambitions?
Deliveries from your warehouse to your shops run once a day, at a fixed hour, but the circulating documentation gives two different hours. The Delivery Driver, Logistics Manager and Warehouse pages all say 02:00. The Importers page says delivery plans ship once per day at 08:00. Supplier deliveries are a separate leg and are described as landing Monday morning, with orders due by Sunday evening, which is Early Access era information.
Do I need a Logistics Manager to deliver to my shops?
Yes for warehouse deliveries. The Logistics Manager sits at a computer workstation in your Headquarters and controls the delivery plan in the BizMan app, while the Delivery Driver is assigned to the vehicle in the warehouse itself. They are two different roles and you need both. Inbound orders from importers need a third role, the Purchasing Agent, also on an HQ workstation.
Can a factory deliver straight to a shop?
Unresolved. The community wiki's Buildings page states that only warehouses can deliver goods to shops, which would force a factory to ship to a warehouse first. Its Factory page, edited on 7 September 2026, has a full Deliveries section describing a Logistics Manager seated at the factory distributing to stores. Both pages were edited in the 1.0 era and both are on the same wiki, so treat the question as open until someone posts a screenshot.
Why is logistics so hard in Big Ambitions?
Because it is the first system where a mistake compounds across every shop you own. The Steam global achievement rates show where players stop: 75.9 per cent run one retail business, but only 6.0 per cent have ever hired and scheduled five delivery drivers, and 0.7 per cent have reached twenty. Warehouse ownership drops the same way, from 21.7 per cent at two warehouses to 1.4 per cent at ten.
